Run the installation
Open the downloaded file on your computer and follow the installer. On mobile, install and open the app, then sign in or follow the subscription activation prompt.
Finish the checks in the app
Complete the requested setup and permissions. Check the subscription, protection status and any outstanding updates or restart request. Available features vary by platform.

Windows and Mac
Use the installer offered for your operating system. Windows may display a User Account Control prompt; macOS can require additional permissions. Follow the help for your installed version. Windows in S mode has a separate Microsoft Store route described in Norton’s download instructions.
Android, iPhone and iPad
Use the official app-store listing reached from Norton. Check the publisher, supported operating system and subscription. Mobile features differ: an iPhone app should not be assumed to perform the same tasks as desktop antivirus software.
Downloaded, but nothing happened?
A saved file still needs to be opened. Look in your browser downloads: Ctrl+J on Windows, or Command+Option+L in Safari on Mac. Check whether the installer is behind another window. If a download is incomplete, start again from the account rather than from an unfamiliar download site.
Moving to another device
Check your plan’s device allowance and the current device list before installing. Keep the old device protected if you still use it. The account’s sharing option can help you reach the correct installer on a second device.
